The application for the Fall 2025 cohort has now closed. Applications for the Fall 2026 deadline will open on August 1, 2025.
The application for current UT Dallas freshmen is open. The deadline to apply is June 1 at 5 p.m.
Honors Community College Connect
Applications accepted on a rolling basis.
National Merit Scholars
Designate UT Dallas as first-choice school with National Merit Scholarship Corporation before May 1, apply to UTD by May 1.
Liberal Arts Honors
Application process opens in February. Applicants must rank in the top 10% of high school class or have a 3.6 GPA.
Terry Scholars
For graduating seniors of Texas high schools; must apply by Jan. 5 and provide recommendations and transcripts by Jan. 10.

Carl J. Thomsen Fund For Student Enrichment
Free tickets for performances and fine arts events in Dallas area. Tickets usually distributed on second Wednesday of month.
Chess
Established in 1996, Chess Team at UTD engages in the highest levels of competition and fosters intellectual prowess across its offerings.
Debate
Open to any enrolled undergraduate student in good academic standing; scholarships also are available.
Model United Nations
Diplomacy simulation assigns countries to students, who write position papers for a competition and have the opportunity to attend conferences.
Community Outreach
Comets HELP
Pre-health Honors students must apply by Nov. 15, 2023, for an opportunity to volunteer at UT Southwestern’s Clements Hospital.
Victor L. Worsfold Grant Program Fund
Apply by Oct. 1 or Feb. 15 for student-led service activities that benefit UT Dallas, local community and beyond.
Internships
Archer Fellowship Program
Feb. 15 application deadline for undergraduate students, early November for graduate students, who go to Washington, D.C., for the summer.
Texas Legislative
Applications due Sept. 1; recipients (must be junior or senior) go to Austin for legislative sessions during the spring semester.
Research
Green Fellowship
Applications due Sept. 15 for a chance to work in a UT Southwestern lab during the spring semester. Applicants must have completed sophomore year.
Clark Summer Research Program
Deadline is March 1, 2024, to apply for this nine-week program (May 28-Aug. 2) for first-time-in-college, first-year students.
Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program
Faculty must apply by Jan. 15, 2024, and select apprentices by Feb. 29, 2024. Open to undergrads who have completed two or three years of study.

Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society
Membership in collegiate honor society is by invitation; fellowships, grants and awards also are available.
Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society
Membership in this international honor society of science and engineering is by invitation only and requires nomination by two members.
