2025 Graduates

Rahma Arif

Rahma Arif graduated with a degree in healthcare studies. She completed the prestigious Archer Fellowship in Washington, D.C., her junior year and studied abroad in England and Scotland her senior year. Rahma served as service coordinator and president for the Terry Scholars Student Organization and as a senator on Student Government. She also worked with the Student Success Center as a peer tutoring assistant and served as co-principal investigator with Dr. Luba Ketsler, addressing complex health issues and advocating for marginalized populations. Her poster presentation won the President’s award at UT Dallas’ annual Summer Platform for Undergraduate Research (SPUR) and again at the regional Great Plains Honors convention. Rahma will work in public and community health and medicine.

Nithya Eluri

Nithya Eluri graduated cum laude with a degree in information technology and systems and a minor in political science. She was a member of the Davidson Management Honors Program and studied in Paris after her first year. Nithya was selected as a prestigious Archer Fellow and interned at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in Washington, D.C., her junior year. Nithya also interned at Keurig Dr Pepper and West Monroe. She co-founded the university’s first Undergraduate Law Review and served as its vice president. Nithya was vice president of writing in Model U.N., a project consultant for 180 Degrees Consulting and a brother of Alpha Kappa Psi. After volunteer teaching this summer in India, Nithya will work at EY as a fintech consultant while applying for law school.

Karen Herrada

Karen Herrada graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering. She served as a freshman mentor within the Terry Scholars Student Organization, guiding incoming scholars through their first year. Passionate about STEM outreach, Karen also mentored her former high school’s robotics team, teaching engineering principles to students in grades 9-12. She completed four internships, including two as a manufacturing engineering intern at General Motors’ Arlington Assembly Plant. Karen will work for General Motors in its rotational manufacturing track program.

Henry Jones

Henry Jones graduated cum laude with a degree in computer science. He worked as the local music director and as a DJ at Radio UTD. Henry spent the summer after his first year studying in Florence, Italy. He also worked as a sound technician at the Texas Theater his junior and senior year. Henry will work at Group M7 Designs as a full stack web and app developer.

Jennifer Lo

Jennifer Lo graduated with a degree in accounting. She served as the secretary for the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS), academic coordinator and mentor for the Terry Scholars Student Organization, treasurer for Comets HELP (Hospital Elder Life Program), clinical operations intern at Texas Anesthesia Back Pain Center, and scholarship interviewer for the Chinese Professional Club of Houston. She worked as a teaching fellow at Breakthrough Houston, peer financial coach at the Comet Cents Money Management Center, accounting/finance intern at Sysco Corporation, international tax intern at PricewaterhouseCoopers and is affiliated with the EMERGE Fellowship and APIA Scholars. Jennifer is pursuing a master’s degree in accounting and analytics through the Professional Program in Accounting and will work as a tax associate at PwC.

Leonardo Mandujano

Leonardo Mandujano graduated magna cum laude with a degree in healthcare studies. He served as a Terry Scholar mentor, as both the treasurer and vice president of the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS) and as the philanthropy and scholarship chairs for the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He also worked as a medical assistant and conducted clinical research at the Emergency Department at Parkland Hospital. Leo participated in child development research under Dr. Alva Tang and presented findings at a conference in St. Louis. Leo served as a volunteer youth basketball coach at the YMCA, as a guitarist at his church and studied in Sevilla, Spain, after his junior year. Leo will work and travel before attending medical school.

Aastha Nepal

Aastha Nepal graduated cum laude with a degree in healthcare studies, pre-dental. She served as president of the Nepalese Student Association, treasurer of Alpha Epsilon Delta, event coordinator for the Pre-Dental Association, administrative/financial officer for the Community Council and as a teaching assistant for Anatomy & Physiology II. Aastha volunteered regularly at Feed My Starving Children as well as at Texas Mission of Mercy, a mobile dental clinic working with underserved communities. She also volunteered with Allan Saxe Dental Clinic and Dental Health Arlington. Aastha helped raise thousands of dollars for Miles for Smiles and for Texas A&M College of Dentistry’s free dental care program. She studied in Prague, Czech Republic, after her sophomore year. Aastha is taking a gap year to travel, volunteer and work before attending dental school.

Eunice Park

Eunice Park graduated in May 2024 with a degree in accounting. She held several leadership positions on campus, including secretary of the Terry Scholars Student Organization, treasurer of Kesem and vice president of membership of the Accounting Club its founding year. Eunice obtained her bachelor’s degree in three years and spent the fourth year completing a master’s degree in accounting. She also interned with KPMG. Eunice will be working for RSM as a tax associate as she studies for the CPA licensure exams.

Joshua Reyes Cruz

Joshua Reyes Cruz graduated with a degree in computer science. He studied in Florence, Italy, after his junior year. Joshua completed two software engineering internships at Microsoft, gaining hands-on experience in large-scale product development and cross-functional collaboration. Upon graduation, Joshua will relocate to Seattle to join Microsoft as a full-time software engineer.

Joseph Thang

Joseph Thang graduated with a degree in information technology and systems. He spent a semester studying in Vienna, Austria, where he traveled every weekend and visited more than 10 countries. Joseph was active in the Newman Center on campus and worked throughout his time at UT Dallas. He will work in IT.

Jillian Turner

Jillian Turner graduated with a degree in psychology and a minor in biology. She mentored several first year Terry Scholars and served as an executive first-year leader on campus. Jillian co-hosted the Mindful Minutes podcast for the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences and led the UT Dallas Swim Club as vice president, taking the team to nationals for the first time. She also worked as a volunteer for the 988 Crisis Hotline texting service and at Medical City Plano as an upper-level patient advocate. Jillian held upper leadership roles in the University Emergency Medical Response (UEMR) team as both a captain and public relations officer and worked as a teaching assistant for the EMT course on campus. She studied in England and Scotland her senior year. Jillian will work and volunteer before attending medical school.

Leah Varghese

Leah Varghese graduated cum laude with a degree in healthcare management and was a graduate of the Davidson Management Honors Program. She served as president of CometTHON and led efforts that raised more than $6,000 for pediatric patients at Children’s Health Hospital. She also served as president of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America at UT Dallas, Leah received an Outstanding Student Award for her work as head of engagement for the Healthcare Management Association. She was a scholar in the Conrad Leadership Program and received the Nash Leader Award for her various leadership contributions. Leah interned at CHRISTUS Health and at Consana Health. A singer, she performed for Comet Gala and Comet Sing. Leah will pursue an MBA while interning at Parkland Health.
