Scholarship Package & Benefits

The National Merit Scholars Program at The University of Texas at Dallas combines a specially designed set of intellectual opportunities with an excellent financial package. The program works closely with UT Dallas’ interdisciplinary academic programs that promote academic achievement and celebrate the pursuit of knowledge.

National Merit Scholarship Package

National Merit Scholars at UT Dallas receive:

  • Complete coverage of UT Dallas tuition and mandatory fees for up to eight semesters. (Four academic years following initial enrollment.)
  • $4,000 per semester cash stipend to defray the costs of books, supplies and other expenses.
  • $1,500 per semester stipend for on-campus housing. (Students living at home or in nearby apartments are not eligible to receive the housing stipend.)
  • Study abroad stipend of up to $6,000 to support international education.
  • One-time summer research stipend of $4,500.
  • Admission into Collegium V Honors program.
