Liberal Arts Honors Application and Requirements
The Liberal Arts Honors experience in the Hobson Wildenthal Honors College at the University of Texas at Dallas is a cohort program for students majoring in select disciplines in the School of Arts and Humanities, the School of Economics, Political, and Policy Sciences, and the School of Interdisciplinary Studies.
Applications are open to incoming freshmen who have been admitted to UT Dallas in one of the majors listed below.

Admission Requirements and Procedure
Students must meet the minimum criteria below.
1410 SAT* OR 31 ACT* |
AND | Top 10% High School Class Rank OR 3.6 High School GPA |
* Due to COVID-19 students are able to apply for the Liberal Arts Honors Cohort as test optional.
Additionally, students must request and complete a short application. The review committee will consider information submitted during the university application process through the ApplyTexas portal.

Program Requirements
New students admitted into the Liberal Arts Honors Cohort are required to complete the following courses during their first fall semester in the program:
- GOVT 2306 (LAHC Section)
- HONS 3199 (LAHC Section)
The Liberal Arts Program will continue to offer readings courses in subsequent semesters, but enrollment in those courses is optional.
