UT Dallas Debate Tournaments & Events
Every January, UT Dallas Debate hosts the Fear and Loathing in Dallas debates, bringing hundreds of college debaters from across the country to our campus for 6 days of intense debates. Now in its 11th year, the Fear and Loathing debates has grown from a largely regional event to one of the largest and best attended tournaments in the country. UT Dallas has also served as host to a number of key events, including the 2010 National Debate Tournament.
Throughout the academic year, UT Dallas Debate hosts a variety of on-campus and service related events designed to increase the scope and quality of public discourse on campus. Working closely with student government, UT Dallas Debate co-hosts the UT Dallas Public Debate series, focusing on important political and campus issues, fostering campus discourse and engagement.
