Clark Summer Research Program

UT Dallas is a leading institution for scientific research that has attracted the brightest minds since its founding. The Anson L. Clark Foundation established the Clark Summer Research Program in 1968. The program allows incoming first-year students at UT Dallas to join active research groups to launch their research careers through an intensive summer experience.

“Clarkies” have gone on to successful careers in academia and industry and earned Goldwater Undergraduate Research Fellowships, Fulbright Research Awards, NSF Graduate Fellowships, and other recognition and financial support. 

Program Eligibility

  • First-time-in-college first-year students may apply to join the Clark Summer Research Program.
  • Applicants for the summer 2024 program must have been admitted to UT Dallas at the time of the application submission and must attend UT Dallas in the fall of 2024. 
  • Applicants must be available for the full nine-week program for 40 hours per week.
