Meet Our Scholars

In 2006, the Terry Foundation® began awarding scholarships to first-year students at UT Dallas. Since then, more than 300 scholars have graduated thanks to this full-ride, last-dollar scholarship.

Located in the Hobson Wildenthal Honors College, Terry Scholars® at UT Dallas offers activities and mentoring designed to facilitate intellectual and personal growth and help students succeed in a rigorous academic environment. Our alums continue to be an invaluable resource for mentoring, internships, and jobs.

Our scholars value the concept to “pay it forward,” and regularly engage in service and community events. Every year, scholars complete hundreds of service hours, as a group and individually. Honors Nights Out and a special Cultural Night Out are unique experiences that bring scholars and faculty together. Free tickets are generously provided through the Thomsen Fund for students to attend symphonies, operas, plays and other cultural events in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
